THE PHOTO SERIES
TEN YEARS IN THE MAKING
I was eleven years old when I entered Waterford School District’s Reflections Program, my first photogrpahy contest. Eager to create, I picked up my dad's Nikon and started shooting. Four photographs from my first photoshoots remain.
Ten years, a Canon camera, and hundreds of thousands of images later, I've recreated these images to reflect who I have become. The passionate, strong, cat mom I've become. With that, I am so honored to present:
WOW: The Photo Series
These photographs show the difference that a decade of
and rising stronger
has to offer.
I grew up in a neighborhood of children, spending as much time outdoors as I could (as I do now, cozied up on my porch every day). As we grew older, moved away, and started our lives, Sabrina and I seemed to always stick.
She taught me patience, motivation, and maturity. A woman that, though only month older than me, I’ve looked up to since childhood. She watched me take my first photos outside of my first home, and posed as a subject ten years later in my current home.
This is Bonnie. Bonnie and her brother Clyde came into my home last year and have taught me unconditional love and loyalty. We’re sort of similiar, Bonnie and I, because she loves to sit still, soaking in the outdoors, dreaming of the day when it takes her away on adventure.
COLOR MY WORLD
Photographing the bloom of a deep red flower a decade ago meant photographing the bloom of passionate love now. Newlyweds Allie and Brian have inspired me as individuals and inspired me as a unit since the first day I had the pleasure of calling them neighbor.
